Best Ball ADP Risers And Fallers: Terrance Ferguson Is Moving Up

Matt LaMarca identifies the players rising and falling in fantasy football ADP over the past seven days.

Published Updated

Another week, another group of Underdog risers and fallers to talk about. If you’ve missed any of the previous installments, we’re essentially looking at the players whose fantasy football ADPs have risen or dropped the most over the past seven days. Some guys continue to see big weekly spikes—Adonai Mitchell’s price tag is up for the fourth straight week—while others have fluctuated a bit more gradually.

Let’s dive into the big movers this week and how you should approach them at their new price points.

Underdog Best Ball ADP Risers

SF_49ers-logo.svg Brandon Aiyuk | SF | WR (+9.4 spots)

Of all the “risers” I’ve written about so far this season, this one is the most surprising by far. Brandon Aiyuk hasn’t had a single positive piece of news written about him in more than a year, and his saga with the 49ers has yet to come to an end. He’s still looking to force his way to the Commanders, and even if that happens, there’s no guarantee he’s going to be relevant for fantasy purposes. When we last saw Aiyuk, he suffered a devastating knee injury that resulted in a torn ACL, MCL and meniscus.

That said, a change in scenery feels inevitable, and Aiyuk could give the Commanders a boost at receiver. They currently only have Terry McLaurin as an established option at the position, with Deebo Samuel still looking to sign as a free agent. If Aiyuk is able to prove that he’s fully recovered from his knee injury, it’s possible that he can fill the 1B role to McLaurin’s 1A.

Still, that’s a lot of things that have to break right for him. I’m not particularly excited to draft him at any price tag, and cooterdoodle recently added him to her “Do Not Draft” list. His 181.4 ADP on Underdog is certainly affordable, but it feels like the juice isn’t worth the squeeze.

DAL_cowboys-logo.svg Jaydon Blue | DAL | RB (+4.6 spots)

Jaydon Blue was a trendy sleeper pick as a rookie. Despite being just a fifth-round pick, many believed he had a chance to lead the Cowboys’ backfield. His only real competition was Javonte Williams and Miles Sanders, who were new additions to the team after uninspiring performances elsewhere.

Unfortunately, Blue ended up being a massive disappointment. Williams proved that he was capable of being the team’s lead back, while Blue struggled to even get on the field. He ultimately appeared in just five games, and he finished with just 38 carries for 129 yards.

The good news is that Blue is apparently using his lost season as motivation to get better. He has reportedly had a new approach this offseason, and he has drawn some praise from HC Brian Schottenheimer. He stated that Blue’s football IQ was “off the charts” and that he’d be a “huge part” of what the team wants to do. Blue has also drawn praise from Dak Prescott.

Whether or not that praise translates into a meaningful role remains to be seen, but the door is at least open for Blue to serve as Williams’ backup in 2026. He might have some standalone value, and he has some upside if Williams were to go down with an injury.

LA_rams-logo.svg Terrance Ferguson | LAR | TE (+4.6 spots)

Like Blue, Terrance Ferguson is another second-year player hoping for a bigger role in his sophomore season. Unlike Blue, Ferguson actually had some tangible moments as a rookie. He was a part of a crowded TE depth chart in Los Angeles, but he still managed to rack up 11 catches, 231 yards and 3 touchdowns.

On paper, the Rams are going to be even deeper at TE this season. Colby Parkinson and Tyler Higbee are still in town, and the team added Max Klare in the second round of the NFL Draft. However, it appears Ferguson has the inside track to be the group's top TE receiving threat. The Athletic’s Nate Atkins believes that he will serve as the team’s de facto No. 3 receiver, with Parkinson and Higbee operating as more traditional in-line TEs.

It makes Ferguson a really intriguing third TE in best ball. He’s currently coming off the board just inside the top 200 picks, and his ADP makes him the No. 33 TE drafted. He’s the consensus TE27 in our rankings, so he has the potential to make good on that price tag.

Underdog Best Ball ADP Fallers

NYJ_jets-logo.svg Geno Smith | NYJ | QB (-6.5 spots)

Geno Smith is not really on the radar for redraft purposes, but every starting quarterback merits some attention in best ball. With that in mind, any time a starting QB ends up in the headlines for negative purposes, it’s going to have some ripple effects. We’re still in the early stages of Smith’s potential legal troubles after battery allegations, but it’s enough to make him the second-biggest faller for the week.

He’s currently coming off the board as QB29, ahead of only Jacoby Brissett, the Browns QBs and the Falcons QBs. I’d certainly rather have Brissett at this point, and it might be worth taking a swing at some of the more uncertain QB situations, too. There’s minimal upside with Smith but considerable downside.

WAS_commanders-logo.svg Antonio Williams | WAS | WR (-4.8 spots)

This is the fallout from all the “Aiyuk to the Commanders” rumors. If he does ultimately land in Washington, DC, it’s going to have an impact on Williams. He was a third-round pick in the 2026 NFL Draft, but it would be tough for him to get on the field behind Aiyuk and McLaurin.

When the Commanders’ offense was humming two years ago, they didn’t exactly spread the ball around. McLaurin was a clear target hog, and he finished as the WR5 in PPR scoring. Olamide Zaccheaus was their second-most-productive receiver for fantasy purposes, and he checked in at WR77.

Part of that definitely stemmed from personnel, but the fact remains that Williams is facing an uphill battle as a rookie. We currently have him ranked as WR64, but that ranking would likely plummet if Aiyuk ultimately joins the squad.

CLE_browns-logo.svg Harold Fannin | TE | CLE (-2.6 spots)

Harold Fannin is a player seemingly on the rise. He had an impressive rookie season, and with David Njoku now with the Chargers, he has the tight end position all to himself for his sophomore campaign. Ian Hartitz recently laid out the bull case for him, and he’s someone you’ll definitely want to have some exposure to.

So, why has his price tag dipped? It probably has to do with the groin injury he suffered at the end of his rookie season. It has kept him on the sidelines during OTAs, and injury reports are concerning no matter when they occur. He also plays for the Browns, who are expected to be one of the worst offensive teams in football.

Fannin is expected to be on the field for training camp, and as long as that happens, his price should rebound. This is a nice opportunity to grab some shares while his price tag is slightly depressed.
